Do you ever find yourself seeking advice or guidance outside of yourself? I know I used to all the time. Especially on the topic of dating and relationships. Relationships bring up everything within us that is hiding – so there is a lot of material to work with here – for all of us!
I would run into challenges in my life and have this impulse to seek advice from other people because I didn’t fully trust that I know myself better than anyone and therefore I know what works for me. Here’s the thing about asking other people for advice…none of us actually know what we are doing! The people advising us are responding to us based on their own life experiences which they view through their own filter of their past. We have different life experiences and a different past – so what worked for them may not be what works for us in any given situation.
This is why I always say to my clients “take what works for you, and leave the rest”. We have our own internal guidance system that we can tap into at any time and IT knows the answers. We know the answers and the best way to access this inner guidance is to get quiet and listen to our own inner knowing.
My main purpose as a coach is to guide my clients back to the answers within them. I help them to see patterns and subconscious programs they are running that are not serving them so that they can fully release them and align their beliefs and their actions with their desired vision for their lives and relationships. I am the guide – the rest comes from you!
